From the Heartland to Papua New Guinea
GracePoint Church in Ogallala, NE, has faithfully supported foreign missions for many years. Soon they will have the great joy and privilege of sending one of their own to serve the Lord in foreign missions.
Spencer Ewert grew up at GracePoint Church. He studied engineering at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln but soon realized God was calling him to work with unreached peoples. He met Kayla while both were serving in Mexico with different ministries. Kayla also believed God was calling her to serve with unreached peoples. They met some missionaries who had planted churches in Papua New Guinea and felt God pulling their hearts to that part of the world.
Spencer and Kayla married in 2016 and have been working hard to prepare for the work God has called them to do. They spent two years in Bible school, then two more years in missions training with Ethnos 360 (formerly New Tribes). While every missionary is anxious to get to their field of ministry, these years of preparation are crucial to be well-equipped with Bible knowledge and well-prepared for cultural challenges.
The next few months hold paperwork, developing partnerships, and all the final details of planning before their departure date in July 2023. They greatly anticipate working to help realize the gospel vision of Ethnos 360 to develop “a thriving church for every people.”

Please pray for this dear family as they leave their home in the Heartland to follow God’s call to make disciples of all peoples!
