The past six months have been a whirlwind of interviews, Q&A sessions, a pastoral transition at the church I planted, announcements, meetings, planning, and decisions—so many decisions! All of it culminated at the 2024 Heartland Annual Meeting. When the results of my ratification were announced, I felt a sense of deep joy and relief. It was work, but it was worth it. I am humbled by the opportunity to be Regional President of Converge Heartland.

“Moldova is a fortochka,” Alexey* told Pastor Slawson in Russian. He listened intently as Alexey shared how God had been at work in and through his country in some amazing ways over the past few years.

This is the fourth decade in which pastors, missionaries, chaplains, and other leaders from within the Heartland and neighboring regions have gathered in the first week of March for a time of focused, earnest, and heartfelt worship and prayer.
